FOOTBALL fans are shocked to learn a little-known fact about Manchester United captain Harry Maguire.
Everyone knows he cost the Red Devils £80m, some know he started his career at Sheffield United but few know his real name.
Yes, Harry is not really his first name, but his middle name.
Maguire’s first name is Jacob, but he went by Harry from a young age.
The 29-year-old United centre-back also carries the affectionate nickname ‘Slabhead’ – earned thanks to his aerial prowess as well as his rather large skull.
Fans were amused to find out Maguire’s real name after taking a look at his Wikipedia profile.
One said: “Explain why he sucks at football.”
Another added: “It seems so weird.”
And a third said: “I just laugh every time I hear it.”
Maguire has also come under scrutiny for his performances on the pitch in recent weeks and there is debate over whether he should go to the World Cup.

The former Leicester star is confident he will deliver to Qatar, but Gary Neville believes Gareth Southgate should drop the defender.
He said: “The criticism of Gareth Southgate for playing him because he wasn’t playing for Manchester United, I thought was nonsense.
“He was the best centre-back in England, performance alone, in both tournaments.
“He was in the team of the tournament during the last Euros.
“So Gareth Southgate had to pick him, just to see where he was fit.
“So I had no problem picking him in games, they obviously didn’t go well and then that’s a big worry because he doesn’t normally play like that for England.
“What he is doing creates a big problem for Harry Maguire and for the manager because he wants to pick him and he wants him to be in the team.
“But I don’t think that’s a position he can go to a World Cup with if Harry Maguire doesn’t play for Manchester United.”
